Here in IL we have the roller dyno (IM240??) and ODBII test. Since the 92 legacy is ODBI I guess they will stick in on the dyno?? But it's AWD so I don't know if they will plug in the 2wd fuse and run it with the front tires?
I have a downpipe with a race cat I thinking of using after I drop the motor back in. I don't think it would pass, the cat hardly does anything.

no rollers for awd. they will just rev the car up and put a sniffer in the tailpipe. don't worry about passing, it will be shocking if it doesn't pass. cats or not, there is no load on the engine. they only way you will be in hot water is if they do a visual inspection and see you don't have one.

Don't worry. I passed the sniffer test with NO cat! And I seriously doubt they'll notice the race cat . . . and if they do tell them you had to replace the stocker because it rusted off!
