Basically for 3-4k you get a kit that installs in 2-3 hours. Still not final but the prototype is running great.

that looks very simple and very basic, but looks like it'll do the job well.

KISS method baby :)

it is only running 6psi, so an IC is not really necessary. besides, our cars run 8.7psi and they don't have intercoolers. though, i would still use one. you could add a tmic ic very easily to that kit, change out the pulley and run 10psi, then it would haul! :o

They said a stage two unit would be available with intercooler. Air to water type. Look at the design though, it would be easy to add one.

This is definately worth investigating for us NA guys. Depending on price, this could be an alterative to an engine swap. Supercharger drive characteristics are way different than that of a turbo. Could make a VERY unique subie out of it. Stage two sounds fun.

If someone was willing, this could be used if someone wanted to convert from a turbo. Due to the lower compression ratio of the turbos, you could run more boost without worrying about that intercooler, and even more with.

Regardless, that's pretty neato.

Ciper,

When could someone get a hold of one of these blowers. I'd love to get one this summer. Will the stage 2 be ready by then. And who is making the kit? I'm sooooo ready to get some forced induction under my hood.

Word is that they were running 7lbs boost at low altitude and I do mean were the engine blew. 7lbs on a n/a engine is asking for trouble. The kit that is being built here in CO probably is a bit nicer it is being installed now.

From what I have read stage one isnt ready for production yet. Stage two shouldnt really be too different, just intake piping and intercooler mounting.

Look on nasioc for a user named Templar. The kit is made by DNT Performance.

Id guess the hardest part for them is making a cheap mount bracket in any type of qauntity (wouldnt that have to come from a big block of alluminum then machined down?)

Thanks, I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Do you think they will have diff size pulleys available for different levels of boost. Or is it possible to have a boost controller? Manual or electric? I'm just really interested in this kit. Can you blame me? :D
