Gas tank?

Post by runnyD »

I awoke to a leak coming from the top of my drivers side tank. NO visible holes or rusting. Filled the tank yesterday a little under 3/4 and it has been sitting there. My passenger side gas tank seems empty by knocking on it and listening to the echo. Weird I hope I dont have to replace the tank!!!!!!!!

I hope not too cuz I hear it's pretty hard and expensivet o replace one. People have told me that it's not something you can just patch up but I've never had it happen to me. There's two things I'd like to know. Why did they use metal and where can one find plastic tanks that will fit a legacy if one can.
