ej22 non turbo engine mods

im a first time user (hi all) i run an ej22 in a vw beetle on the drag strip along with a few others in vwae class in england.i was wondering if there were any cheap engine mods you have used that we havn`t for more horsepower,any suggestions appreciated

not much mate. Most of the off-the-shelf aftermarket mods are simply exhausts and intakes; something you wouldn't be too interested in with your beetle.

you could always get custom internals and cams built. but this wouldn't be considered a standard mod for a daily driven car.
