Best place to buy stock ej22t rods and pistons?

Post by douglas vincent »

Since i most likely will blow my engine sometime when I try WAY too much nitrous combined w/ the supercharger down the line at the track, I suspect the failure will be a connecting rod or piston. Who gives a good deal on the ej22t stuff? Since I am not pushing huge boost, I can live with just stock internals from the better engine.

Thanks

i have 10 connecting rods laying around..

i could sell you them for cheap if you pay shipping ;)

7 from 2.0l WRX, 3 from 2.2l Leg Turbo.

it is not recommended to use used pistons and rings.. as this could end in them not seating correctly and leaking oil as hell.. hehe

Used connecting rods I could live with. Am I correct that the connecting rods for turbo 2.2 are stronger and different than NA 2.2's?

Pistons I would only do new.

Crawford Performance generally has these available for pretty cheap. They are doing high powered EJ22T builds and take out brand new stock rods and pistons and sell them off. I made a thread about this here in the For Sale a few months ago that should link you straight to their posting on NASIOC. IIRC, he wanted $100 a set for pistons...

You might also try Axis Power Racing who does the same sort of builds with EJ22T blocks...
