I pulled the motor and and the driver side axel on Tuesday. Pulled the heads off the same day. About 4.5 hours. Pulled the pistons the next day. .5 hours. Spent 4.5 hours re-installing the new pistons and rings and heads on Friday. Spent 7-8 hours installing the intake, clutch and dropping the motor back in, as well as putting the driver side axel back in. Had it running at 5 pm. Drove it home at 7 pm.
Estimated 16 hours or so, give or take an hour or two. I bet next time I blow a piston it will be down to 12 hours, especially if I dont have to pull an axel.
I got the head gasket set for $117, the pistons for $107, the rings for $44 and the oil pump seals for $12.
