Woohoo! Scored at the junk yard and auto parts store

Post by mikec »

Managed to finally find a Toronto based distributor of Sea Foam. I've already stuck a 1/3rd in the gas, gonna do the rest of it either later today or tomorrow just before I change the oil.

Swung by the j/y next, to see if I could find a Diamond coilpack and a bulb socket for one of my sidemarkers. Walk in, and the first car I see is a 91 Legacy wagon! :D Managed to score the coil pack for 13.50 CDN, and discovered that the front turn signal socket is the same as the one I needed. So within 5 minutes of walking in, I had everything I had set out to get.

Wasn't able to find any 92-94's, so I'm still looking for the Subaru sticker for the trunk. But a 91 that I had taken stuff off earlier was missing its coil pack, and I noticed that someone had pulled off the timing cover and timing belt. I'm hoping they didn't actually buy the belt, but I didn't notice anything else missed. :?

Feel free to move on now, I needed to share my joy with someone. :)

Joy accepted.

I guess I have a Canadian vendor of seafoam as well, I wonder if they'll ship me a case :)

I'm really tired, so I'm just going to come out and ask... Have you found somewhere out there?

If not, I guess the obvious thing to say is I should be able to send you a bunch, if you want.
