Radiator Question.

Post by GizMo22t »

I'm in the market for a radiator and no one has a turbo automatic radiator anywhere. So i'm looking online. There is only one site that I found that sold the radiator for the turbo but it doesn't say A/T or M/T.
Ok here's the question. In the description it says;

COMPLETE RADIATORS for SUBARU LEGACY 1993
with 2.2L / 135 CID H4
w/TURBO.

What is 135 CID?
Is there a difference in the A/T and M/T radiator?
Will this work for my car?
I have a 1993 legacy wagon turbo A/T

Here is the website if you would like to look at it more.

CID stands for cubic inch displacement. 135 cubic inches is roughly 2.2 liters.

There is a difference between AT and MT radiators; the AT ones include an ATF cooler. You can use an AT radiator on an MT car (just cap off the ATF lines), but not vice versa.

Look for a thread called "radiator weirdness." I believe someone just posted about where they found a good AT radiator at a decent price.

What do you mean nobody has one? I have one on page 1 of the for sale forum. Yes, it is from an automatic and has the extra bungs for the tranny cooling. And it is in very good condition, but no, I don't have any pics, but you are local, so you could see it in person before you paid me for it... :wink:

Keep your eye on ebay. I got one for $70, it has very few miles on it.

Thanks all. I finally found one. Wish i would have read the sales forum found one local for 175 made by Koyo. It came with a life time warranty. I try to stay away from Ebay i spend too much money for stuff i don't need on there. Thanks for the help though.

If a GC chassis radiator will work, I know that Koyo makes one, but it's freakin' huge. I'll be trying to shoe-horn one of those in my car eventually.
