I decided to help out a friend last night and drive her to the Raleigh Durham airport. I pushed my car harder than I've pushed it in a while, but was amazed at how well she managed. On the way down we covered 150 miles in 2 hours and 20 minutes. Not to shabby considering we had some traffic problems here in town and part of the time in North Carolina was a 2 lane back road deal. I drove 70-75mph pretty much the entire time I was in VA (the speed limit was 55) and once on the interstate in NC I ran her on up to 80mph and she was just as stable and confident as she is at 55 On the way back I still drove pretty hard because I wanted to get some sleep before class this morning. I managed to get 27mpg the entire trip and that impressed me since I don't have cruise control and part of the trip was hilly terrain.
ehhh.. be careful on the roads. I adhere to the speed laws (and sometimes under) on the majority of the "roads" I travel around here.. I don't like running into people or things, so I take it pretty easy.. But on the Interstates, open 'er up!
Hit the left lane and play some "Move Bitch!" and let 'cris take the flow..
I get miles and miles of dirt logging roads, no 80mph but I can leave a huge dust cloud. I just love going up hills with my car, turbos are so much fun.
