New web page building help..

Post by WRXdan »

I have web space on comcast. I don't really want to build a page with graghics and stuff. I just want a tree structure to hold my folders and pictures. How do I make this structure? Is it a different file name? Comcast's page builder is for the birds.

You mean you just want it like this?

There should be some option to enable directory browsing. It may already be turned on anyway. If so, just remove index.htm or default html file, and it should default to the directory browsing.

Comcast says they don't support this. If you don't have the index.html then you get bumped to an error page!! Comcast you suck!!! Can I fake one in frontpage? Then name it the index file name?

You could create an index.html file with a URL listing of all the files (use <a href="your file here">filename or whatever</a>)

But you'd have to update it every time you added or removed something.
