How hard to change a short shifter ?

Post by ej22t »

Hi People, just got a short shifter as a gift for my Legacy turbo, I would like to know how hard to get this stick change??
I already have a 02 WRX shift linkage and this shifter will fit without any problem, but I would like to know can I DIY to do this swap and how long will it take?? Does anyone have a write up on how to do it, thanks for help!

I'd recommend the kartboy bushings if you don't already have them. They really make a difference.

You could pop the new short throw lever in before you put the linkage in the car if you want.

if you have questions, just ask.
