WRX Engine/Trans mounts

Post by Mr.Pessimist »

Are the BC-BFs compatible with WRX mounts?

(I'm sure that someone is gonna say "duh, didnt you see that post we had like 2 years ago? .http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?blah, blah, blah" but just humor me for a moment)

I know the group n (sti) engine mounts and manual tranny mounts work, so I assume that the stock wrx mounts would work also.

The tranny mount only works on the manuals.

Hope this helped

Are you sure a WRX tranny mount will work for his FWD Legacy?

Do some research on it, specifically under Legacy777's posts, he was able to modify his FWD auto tranny mount to make it harder...

I just looked at all of Josh's posts but couldnt find anything on a FWD trans-mount. However, I did look at all the stuff about the engine mounts...which I'm gonna have to do as well. I wish I had one of you who've already gone through it so it won't take me 3+ hours.

Anyway, thats gonna be a while since its tough to work on a daily driver, especially when its something serious like taking the car apart. I'll have to wait until I graduate (this spring), hopefully get a high paid position, get a house with a garage (apartment now), and ultimately get my very own car rack :D

Anymore input on what I should do about the upgraded FWD tranny mount?

I've done the Group N engine mounts. No way to get around the time. Crawl under the car and it's pretty straight forward.

Just saw this thread. Here's the Nabisco thread where Josh discusses what he found: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... ge=1&pp=25

from the Nabisco posts it looks like Primitive does a good job with tranny mounts. Funny how that works out, Mr. Eklund lives like 30 min. from me and I've already bought some stuff from him before...real nice guy.

Anyway, I'll have to call him up and get a quote. Thanks guys.
