Diamond coil pack, how to install

Post by mhrallyteam »

I just bought a diamond coil pack for my subby, I tought it would be direct fit. Well it is but the connector is on the opposite side of the coil.

For those who use those coil, what did you do, cuz there is no numbers on the coil to identify which outlet goes where, like the old one. IT's minus 10 celsius outside so i don't want to play too long with it, thx

Here's a hint: The connector is actually on the same side. ;)

The connector is on the same side of the coil as the stock one. Early Diamond coil packs had the sticker on the opposite side -- it's on the back of the pack for some reason.

Just bolt the coilpack right in, with the harness connector on the passenger side. And just put each spark plug wire on the corresponding coil tower (e.g. right front cylinder goes to right front coil tower). It'll work.

I didn't even think about that before i bolted mine on, I just took it off the 2.5 rs intake and removed mine then bolted the new one down.
