noisy speedometer

when it is really cold here my spedo is noisy. once the car is driven for a while it goes away. it is a vibrating sound lit the numbers on the trip meter are stuck but they are moving. it only happens above 20 mph. its really weird.

it's fairly common when cold. I greased my speedo cable when I replaced the base piece a few years back. After that, noise was gone.

i will have to remember to do that when it gets a bit warmer out. its 2 below actual temp w/-35 windchill today.
