car alarm/remote entry-(three questions)
OK- I would do a poll, but I can't do three questions.
#1 Do you have one.
#2 What brand is it?
#3 did you install it yourself
(ok 4 questions) recommendations??
I am going to do this in March and I wanted opinions. Subaru factory uses Code Alarm. I have a Code alarm in my Maxima. SOOOO (you can see where this is going) But I want opinions FIRST!
Thanks!

I don't quite see where it's going.. are you gonna rip the alarm out your max and put it in your legacy?
Magic Mike's thread on his alarm deal seems to be the source for all our alarm questions --they've addressed alot in there when it comes to installing your own alarm..
What exactly would you like to do? Are you going to try to have one remote for two cars, seeing that they both could be Code Alarm systems?

OK, since I have two cars already with Code alarm, I thought about putting it in the Legacy.
BUT, I wanted to know what other people's experiences have been with whatever they have done.

Come over to western Washington (Lynnwood) and I'll have our installer (who did my alarm and Laurel's) who's also our roommate, hook you up with a great Clifford. . . should be able to get quite a bit for around $400, and I guarantee you'll not find a better installer in the state.

Clifford alarms are the shiat. I've got one of their older intelliguard systems with dual remote adjustable proximity zones, and more options then you can shake a stick at.

I might take you up on that offer. I was looking at DEI since they own over 75% of the alarms today. I will get back to you come March. I need to go Westside anyway and visit some friends.

Code alarm = poopy
Clifford = super duper
Cliffird is the best alarm they make with Viper being a close second which actually makes them a tie because DEI who makes viper bought clifford a few years ago but kept the name and changed the guts. So now you have all the awesome features of a clifford and they actually work all the time even after a jump start which would normally mess a clifford all up and require you to remove the fuses to reanitialize the unit. The old Supernova II's were netorious for this.
