Back to school

Post by entirelyturbo »

Well, my semester break is over. I'm going back to school tomorrow.

I have a history of journalism class and an intro to tech writing class. Yeah, I'm writing no less than 10,000 words this semester :(

What sucks is that I have one class a day, 5 days a week. I live 12 miles from school. I'm going all the way out there for one class, then coming all the way back, Mon-Fri.

Wish me luck. I'm 1) going to try to get my scholarship back after this semester and 2) going to try to be officially accepted into the Journalism major after this semester...

it's situations like that that make me love where i live. I've got food from all over the globe within a 1-2 block radius, plus about 3 diff gas stations in that same radius, One more block and I'm at my school or a pool hall and dance club or three different auto parts stores, a few more blocks and i've got 5-6 groceryt stores to choose from, a video game store, even more food, automotive repair shops, pretty much anything I could ask for withing a mile radius, work is only 4 from my house. I love it :)

12 miles isn't bad, I drive 17 to school every day(for the last 3 yrs.) and I dont think thats a big deal at all. I actually look forward to the drive every day.

I finished school this past Dec....I'm confused now...nothing to do except to waste time on message boards. With few exceptions I rode my commuter bike 4mi to class every day for 5yrs, year round baby. In the winter it takes longer to clean off/scrape/warm up, drive to campus, park way the F away from the building I need to get to and walk in from the parking lot than it did to just suck it up and ride.

The drive doesn't bother me, but it would seem a lot more worthwhile if it were for more than just 1 class :|

But I am going to try to start working out again, so I might be doing that after class or something, so it will be a little more productive.

well, since you've got nice-er weather in FL, you could ride more often than any of us! Go all out, and ride to the gym, or school or something!

My commute was 30 miles each way to high school. It was all back roads though, so it was fun.

I walked 20 miles to school uphill both ways in the snow. Even in summer since I had to go to summer school for always being late. Lost three toes to gangrene. Had to cut them off myself. Okay, though, since it was a scenic walk.

My GOD I remember why I missed college so much... I walked around most of the UCF campus today after class, just checking out the scenery... I wish I had a camera phone...
