Does anyone know what the electrical connector on top of the silver colored subaru water/air intercooler is for? I searched the archives and found only questions, no answers. I would like to incorporate it if it is something useful like temp sending unit or something. Thanks, BillC

Hi Bill, That is a switch at least it is on my intercooler. I plan on
wiring it to a led on the dash for a warning if the coolant level gets
to low this could be trouble if the tank was empty or very low and the
charge got hot under high boost.(I am running 15lbs with no problems)

Thanks Al, I traded the Ford intercooler I bought from you for this setup. It will be installed after a rebuild. I have included a picture of the Ford intercooler when it was installed. It worked good. The car is much slower without it.Thanks for the info Al.

Hey Bill its Ian. I was wondering if you ever had a problem with any of the
coolant lines from the tank breaking. I had the little one on the top go in
me. it the one in major contact with the intercooler. I think I cought it in
time but I had to add 2 gallons of water to fill it up to drive a mile home
and then another two gallons once I repaired the tear. Not fun now the car
idles around 500-650 and accelleration is pulse'e. I think I might have
fried the turbo sence the coolant line for the turbo is under the one that
broke, I think it was starved some coolant. Oh well ganna take her in for
service.
