After my little TB swap and such, I need to fine tune the IAC valve so I am around 700 rpm for normal idle. I believe it is a little low. I'm looking for an external tach that I can hook up....has a analog style meter or digital for that matter.......so I can get a true, accurate reading of RPM.
I had thought that I would have been able to find something with an inductive pickup.......however I have not been able to find anything like that. All of them are meant for older engines with coils, and you're supposed to hook up to the coil wires.
Well our engines obviously don't have that.......would I have to hook up to one of the three leads goin to the coil pack........?
Dave you mentioned something about these leads when you did your MSD 2 install.
Anyone have any insight for me.
Thanks
Josh
