thinking about swapping entire roof

i'm thinking about swapping my entire roof rather than retro-fitting a sunroof.... can anyone tell me if it's an easy process? any messy welds involved?

you would need to remove front and rear windows and mouldings, gutter mouldings, roof lining and all associated trim.
Cut off/ drill out spot welds of old roof and reweld new roof in place .... though you can now use a special adhesive instead of welding. Then prepare, paint and reassemble all parts.... quite a job..

Devin,

Just go to a shop, and have them install a custom sun roof in your car. It will be a lot easier, look better, function better, probably seal better over the long run, and essentially give you less problems.
