10psi with no IC. The good and the bad.

Post by John D »

Lets say that we have a stock turbo legacy (with a UR pulley) using the stock boost solenoid… so it’s running at a stock boost level. Let’s say we get a MBC and turn the boost up to 10psi with no intercooler. Would there be any benefit at all… if so what would that be? Would the extra heat really be a killer? …

Thanks

I ran 13psi non-intercooled for a while in the fall, wow. 10-11PSI
is very safe as long as you're using at least 91 octane fuel. The
cooling systems on the Turbos are pretty beefy, so i wouldn't worry
about that too much.
