Rabin,
What is this 32 mm restrictor that u say is limiting your power? Is this an
OEM part or something u had to add??

Subject: [BC-BFLegacyWorks] Two MBC answer
Couple people wanted this so here goes:
Pictures would best show it, but both the car and the manuals are in
Calgary - 8 hours away!
A brief description is as follows:
I changed where the boost signal for the MBC was taken from - instead of the
turbo spigot, I tapped into a larger opening on the driver-side intake
manifold. It goes from there to the under hood MBC then to the wastegate.
(The boost guage is also tapped into the manifold directly)
>From the turbo spigot, it goes to a 0-15 psi pressure regulator set to only
release 8.5 - 9 psi, then to the solenoids. Two outputs from the solenoid -
one goes back to the intake pipe, the other goes to the wastegate. I tee'd
them together and ran them both to the intake before the turbo.
This can be a dangerous set up since the computer happily thinks it's within
spec and you can crank it as high as you want. BE VERY CAREFULL!!!!!
We ran VP race fuel, and we had boost set at about 14 psi (intentional spike
to 17 intitially). We are still having issues with the engine management,
so I am not sure if this is a recommended set up.
I personally would keep it set up the way we had before. I used our MBC to
prevent any boost the wastegate until 10 psi, it would then crack and the
cars solenoids would keep the boost right at 11 psi - all the overboost
protection was still effective. Nice and safe way to play.
I wish I could provide a picture as well, but without the car it would be
from memory only. Let me know if the description is not sufficient.
Rabin

No... It's the new C.A.R.S. (Canadian Association of Rally Sport) rules for 2002.
We have to put a 32mm restrictor in the intake of the turbo... The OEM size is
about 40mm. Basicly, C.A.R.S. think that our production class cars are as powerfull
as the group N...!!! The problem with the Legacy's in North America is that they don't
have intercoolers, so were are limited to 11psi of boost!!
