Whoa! I've never seen that! I'd say someone put it the old dual-range transmission, except that console looks factory.

IIRC, it's been mentioned here before that some BC-BF Legacies overseas got the DR tranny... Don't hold me to that though...

Yeah guys....I would think you all would be used to getting screwed....we are americans, right? As usual, we don't get the goodies. AFAIK, subaru still has D/R trannies with EJ engines, I think in the forester and maybe outback. I think in europe, aus, prob japan, and hence, nz...
I have been looking for a used (preferably) d/r tranny from a EJ engine...my mechanic tricks out old subees into off road beast, anyways, I can tell he has a hankering for a newer subee, but its not worth it without a d/r, so I have been trying to find one for him from overseas, and get it shipped over. Always good to have a good subee mechanic in your debt! :D
If anyones got a source on d/r trannies, let me know!
thanks

Sa-weet! With that, all you need is a considerable lift and you can fit some crazy tires on with 15" wheels. I love the dual-ranges. I prefer it all day over AWD in the real slippery stuff.

ciper, that image is of an RHD car... it's been flipped around. Notice the ignition switch is in the wrong place. The dash gauge also seems to have higher numbers on the left than the right.

...or were you playing a joke on us? :)

Anyone notice the steering wheel? Same design but with thumbrests at 9-3 not 8-4 (which which coincidentaly I use for pinky/ring fingerrests). Damn I hate getting jipped:\
