91 3.9 turbo legacy LSD into 01 Legacy?

hey guys, wondering if you can help me.

i am looking to swap out my rear diff with a turbo legacy LSD, i know the turbo legacy rear is 3.9 and my current one is 4.44. that is not the concern, as i will be addressing that issue.

what i am wondering is will my factory axles connect to the legacy turbo diff? i have heard there are a diff number of splines so it wont work but this is only from one source, and i figured you guys would know.

You will need female inner joints on the axles for the diff to bolt right it. Im fairly sure yours are male.

yea i was just about to edit this, i just finally saw a pic of the actual rear diff and it does have the male end sticking out of it so axles would need to be female, where as you said my axles are male.

oh well, thanks for the help ciper, guess i wont be buying yours after all even if it was for sale, haha.
