Speedo probs

Hey just yesterday my speedo started to act up after driving in a dusty area grr (now i have to wash my car again) but now the speedo seems to be slow and and when the car is turned off it stays at 15mph its really really annoying me anyways to fix this? with out changing the cluster or speedo?? thx

the the speedo cable out and clean it really well

this should probably be in the drivetrain forum as well, as the speedometer is not electrical
