Do I have to????

Post by LegacyPunk »

Hey anyone know if I can replace the knock sensor without taking off the entire intake manifold?
isn't it the tiny thing with a white wire sticking out of it right under throttle cables?
I think I could just push those aside to get at it.

Don't waste your time taking the manifold off... its not needed....

Its the round plastic thing with a bolt going through the middle and either a grey or white wire running to it.

Just use a long extension to get down there and turn the bolt....

Also, draining the coolant is not needed.

Yeap, socket extension is all that's needed to make it a piece of cake.
