98 Legacy 2.2 liter with....Small oil leak? Help...

Post by 98LegacyAWD »

I have a 98 Legacy AWD 2.2 liter. There is a small oil leak that appears to be coming near where the enigine block and tranny fit together. I cant find it and only leaks when the engine is running. It is burning off the exhaust. But not a lot of smoke just smells bad.
I am not the most knowledgeable with engines, but I do most of my own maintenance. Any suggestions? Where to look or start?

Rear crank seal shouldn't reach the exhaust. I think it's more likely the left rear cam seal.
