OK.. well i have owned my 92 subaru leg turbo. 4 about 4months.. and this has happened like 4 times... I hope in to my car to start it.. doesnt matter wat weather is like. And turn the key and it sounds like it normal.. then sounds like its turning nothing like its easy.. or it could just be not firing at all tring to work it out still..
so I then stop and wait a second and try again.. and normal it starts but only on like 3 cylinders... and i can go over this a few times.. and eventuall it will be fine.. i have replaced the spark plugs.. so its not them.. i have had my coils tested.. and replaced one... im not sure where the fuel filter is.. dont have a manual.. so i could look into that.. any ideas?
starting probs.. please help :D

Does it happen mainly when the car has been left parked for a while?
It kind of sounds like there might be a leaky injector or o-ring... if one of the cylinders is getting flooded with fuel when the car is parked, it wouldn't fire up right, but then when the fuel gets blown out by the cranking engine it would be able to start. Maybe?
The fuel filter is mounted on the left strut tower. You can see the fuel hose going from it to the fuel lines on the intake manifold.
