Sword Collection

Post by Nomake Wan »

Wow, I seem to frequent this forum. Hmm. Well, I got the newest addition to my sword collection in the mail today, and therefore decided to take a new picture of my entire collection.

Since the image is kinda large, I'll just post the link: http://www.deviantart.com/view/9748269/

Enjoy!

Nice lookin bunch of swords dude. I also have a "collection". Mine are just cheap display swords (rattail tangs, high carbon steel, etc) but I display them proudly anyway :D

Here's a fun picture of my swords being held by a bunch of friends and myself (on right, with battleaxe) :

Nice pics guys. The second one was hilarious. I'd like to have some swords too. I used to have a ceremonial piece of junk that I used in Tae Kwon Do but I bent it up trying it out on some old oak trees. I also used to have a Ninja suit too (can't remember what they're actually called) and I would wear it out at night stalking, just kidding. I did have one once with Tabi boots but a 'friend' stole it from me, how ironic.

Oh and welcome to legacycentral!!

Nomake, I love the sakabatou. Seriously the reverse blade is so gangster!

I admit I am fan of Ruruoni Kenshin. But that just got me into learning about that era and the weapons native to it. I went from the toon to learning about the real deal. 8)

*nods* Thanks on that! It needs a new sheath something fierce (the blade's catching on the current one because it isn't shaped correctly, so halfway in it catches), but it's awesome. Until I get a new sheath, no Battou-jutsu moves, but that's alright.

And yeah, me too! Kenshin got me into the Samurai big-time. The Last Samurai was a great rendition as well. I'm hoping to enhance my sword collection to include some more traditional blades soon. I'm teaching myself Kenjutsu and Iaido... gotta love Japanese swordsmanship.

Later!

*Bump from the grave*
Guess who got a brand new sakabatou?
This thing is hard core! Full tang, hand sharpened (incredibly sharp), full copper tsuba, rayskin wrapped greatness.
