No start and strange noises.???

Post by turbonator »

Everything seems to be fine but when I go to start it I get what sounds like a bad starter but the noise is coming from the DASH and the starter is not in the dash..??

Could it be something with the clutch I have trouble starting it sometimes when I dont push hard enough to the floor?. I've heard this poping noise from the dash before but the car always started.

It sounds like something stuck in the vents I'm sure you've all heard it before after you turn off you heater it make clicking noises..

It sounds like that and does it 4 times in a row.

I hope this is something small cause I'm broke :(

Thanks.

bad electrical connection. Try cleaning the battery terminals and tightening. It could also be a fried starter wire or a worn out battery, but i doubt it.

the starter motor is right behind the dash area, bad starter soleniod contacts, sound seems like it comes from the dash.

Have someone else turn the key...while you look under the hood.

If the clutch switch were faulty, there would be no click at all !!!

Have someone push it with you and jump in with the ignition already turned to on, put the car in gear and let the clutch out. I've had to do it a couple times, but usually its just me pushing and then jumping in as fast as i can.

Check all your battery connections, etc.

Might be the starter solenoid contacts.
