Laurel's AWIC Install meet

Post by LaureltheQueen »

What: Air-to-Water intercooler install on a 1992 Turbo Wagon (USDM)

When: Friday, January 28th, 2005 Approximately 3:30 PM

Where: ALHOC or Art and Laurel's place in Kenmore(North end of Lake Washington

Why: I got an intercooler, want to install it, and like hanging out with legacy owners

For those of you interested in coming, Art and I are going to pick up Tristan in the Federal Way area, then probably head to Dixie's BBQ in Kirkland if it sounds agreeable. :)

I'd be down, but I won't be back on the Eastside till almost 6. I assume this won't take over 2.5 hrs.

It'll take a while. . . there will be some custom fabrication work for the intake from the turbo to the intercooler.

Not to mention the removal and re-installation of the bumper cover, grill, possibly headlight(s).

Installation of the radiator, water pump, water lines. . . and positioning and securing of the intercooler, itself.

This is the main reason I pushed for an install day that could easily lead into the evening / night, and possibly into part of Saturday. :P

Sounds pretty cool. I'd definitely be interested to see/help put one of these put in, and do the custom work :) if I was in the area

Make sure to take lots of pictures!

Nice. I'll be awaiting the pics too :D I've got the IC on a shelf in the corner. I guess I really should gete the pump and radiator together :( Maybe once I see the pics and here how the install went I'll be motivated enough to do something :) Good luck guys!

I'm in, as long as the mockery of my winter-raped wagon is kept to a minimum.
And I will be late.
