This video made me think of Vikash...

Post by BAC5.2 »

OK, this probably only makes sense to Matt and I who have seen Vikash type, and maybe Scott, but holy cow.

I saw this video, and immediately thought of the mad typing skillz of Vikash.

Hehehe...

So this is basically Dance Dance Revolution but with a keyboard instead of a jumping pad?

They should have set the screen's refresh rate to 60Hz.

Yea, I think so. I can't find it online though. I wonder how everyone here would do? I could never keep up with that dude, damn. I am kinda good at DDR though....

Do you say to set it at 60Hz to get rid of that line running through the screen?

Yep. Assuming you're using NTSC, you can set the screen's refresh rate to 60Hz if you want to film a computer display.

If you're using PAL or SECAM, you need to set it to 50Hz or 100Hz.

its called step mania if u want it.

i love that game both versions the hand and the arcade one. we use to do tournaments at a local arcade. we did tricks like jump over each other, switch pads, use hands, ect.

its kind of a pain in the butt to find songs tho if u wanted to get it

but if someone wants to host the songs i can give them 420 songs

I've got StepMania on my computer now... it's eating 7GB of my hard drive with its songs and background vids. XD

Fun stuff. Archowl's a simfile creator, and there were a bunch of videos of him and others doing crazy songs on the keyboard. They're hosted on bemanistyle.com if I remember right.

I can do some crazy stuff with a keyboard too on that game... but it's a lot more fun with your feet.

No, I think I should post up a video where it really is amazing reflexes... seriously... Archowl's got nothing on this dude... I'll do that when I get back from school so you guys can see.

*has 3000+ songs on his StepMania...*

Site: http://www.stepmania.com

Their forum is down, though... so... yeah... I've got links to pages with simfiles and themes and such, but I'm not up-to-date with its progress since that forum was my main source of info.

Ya, that's about what watching Vikash type is like, except V has all 10 filangies (sp?) moving that quickly across the entire key board!
