I've pushed the limits of the NA ECU.

7-9 psi and a 50 shot of nitrous does work. Once, maybe twice, then the ECU throws a fit and no more do we go fast.

My first run was the best I have ever run, a 14.76 @ 92 (although I expected MUCH better). This was with a 2.062 0-60 but I missed a shift and took my time through the other two shifts. So I could have claimed as low as a 14.5 probably.

The next run felt faster but I had a .2 slower 60' time so I only pulled a 14.9 but trapped at 93.

The next two runs were up against an auto turbo legacy! I was totally gonna smoke him and even told him I wouldnt use the happy gas. Instead I pulled a 16.4 and a 16.1. I even suffered some extreme knock on the top of third on one of the runs. The last time I was at the track just running 7 psi I was getting consistant 15.4s with two 15.2 runs so something was obviously wrong.

The ecu was now extremely unhappy and I was having trouble idling. The rest of the night got no better but I also quit running the 60 shot of nitrous but I never broke into the 15's again.

Everytime I cleared/reset the ecu the idle would come back to normal but since I was running hot the CEL would pop back up real quick and the wagon wouldnt run so swell.

Since I have rebuilt the engine back in Sept(?) I have suffered alot of knock so I know I have some piston/ring land damage so I suspect I have some compression issues. How much is another question.

So now the question is not just "Who wants to buy me a clutch?" but also "Who wants to buy me some engine management?"

The auto turbo legacy was pushing 10psi steady with a boost controller of some kind and was getting consistant 15.9-16.2 times at 86-87 mph. His top end would really come on nicely.
Reddevil, Awaiting new heart, will it ever happen?

Do you think the two runs with nitrous would be enough that the computer would change its fueling habits enough that when you didnt use it, the car would knock?
