Somebody loves me

Post by LegacyPunk »

Hey thanks to one of the oh mighty moderators for getting rid of the "555" at the end of my username :D. just goes to show the coolness of this forum.

Also a car update: things are going well, im pretty sure I got my gas mileage back up to almost 300 miles on a tank. All it took was some new plugs and plug wires.

With some things buttoned down, I think im gonna try the ol WRX IC again once my summer break comes around  , see if I can't figure out a better turbo to IC connection. Still can't believe a loose airbox was the cause of my code 22  .

just a side note: anyone know what that little hose on top of the Throttle Body leads to, cause whatever it lead to, it disconnected itself from whatever selenoid that is. I think it could of been the cause of my car accelerating on its own and its occasional stumble on the highway.

Goes to the canister purge solenoid. With it disconnected from the solenoid, you are essentially letting unmetered and unfiltered air into your engine when off boost, and losing boost, when on boost.

Check your other vaccum hoses and the IAC valve. You probably know, but there's a procedure in the Haines for checking the voltage and valve state when warm. I should talm though, I sometimes ask before looking at the Haines.
