I love Nasioc....

Post by BAC5.2 »

Ok, I actually don't LOVE Nasioc, but I've never felt better about owning a Subaru and being in a community like the Subaru community.

You all know of my Ongoing DMS Suspension issues. 2 weeks ago or so, I posted on the DMS message board, here, and Nasioc (as well as another, smaller, sportbike forum for the DC Area).

328 something views at DMS's board. Almost 1000 views at Nasioc, 4 pages of Nasioc Replies almost all pertaining to the topic.

Towards the end, things got a bit more heated, and I couldn't believe it. People I didn't know personally were standing behind me. I started tearing up when our own Matt replied. I had some of my best friends standing behind me, most of the Mid-A supporting me.

That's why I am a car enthusiast :). That's why I own a Subaru. No one stands behind their own like our community does :).

And thanks Matt for being a true friend :) It means a lot to me :)

it seems that the subaru community in particular seems to have a sense of community. They very rarely, if at all dislike other owners. it's very refreshing

Aww, shucks. I would have posted on your behalf but I only recently started a NASIOC account. I think that what happened to you is bs and I would have been pretty upset about it if it were me. I know we're just accquaintences but, for what it's worth, I'm behind you too as a fellow owner and a friend of Matt's. :)

I wave at other subaru owners.. some of them don't get it. Too bad. :(
Phil, you got the west coast behind you too.. Don't think Me, Art, Laurel, and anyone else we want over here isn't behind you, either. We'll bring guns and Russians!

Goes without saying...

Some people just don't understand the Subaru community, it's a shame. No matter what old beat up rusted subaru I see, I may think yeah I'd whip your ass...but you're still driving a subaru so you're cool in my book.

If I ever see a dude broken down in one I'd even stop to help. I always drive by stranded people unless it's a cute chick. Did give a cute girl with a GL/Loyale a ride to the gas station once. Didn't get her number, though as she was religious from the Midwest. What a waste, oh well.

? Do you mean me? I was just thinking the sex (if there were any) would be boring and we'd have nothing in common to talk about.

It's a matter of personal style, but I don't like women I can't talk to whether in bed or not. I have to restrain myself and feel like I'm walking on eggshells lest I start an idealistic argument and I don't like doing either. It's why I avoid a lot of people. If the sex is boring we'd better damn well be able to talk as unless she does body work and loves to clean, there's little else we'd be able to do.
