I'm sooo stoked! I checked out a '93 turbo legacy today. It's silver (I don't know the actual color name) with 84,000 miles on it. It has one tiny tiny area on the drivers side quarter panel in the bottom corner where it meets the door. The rest is in awesome condition. The interior is plush and looks like it never even had a drink spilled in it. I looked at the title and it only had one owner who bought it at W&L, had it regularly serviced there and took it back because she said she didn't need a turbo anymore. She is an older lady (not from Pasadena )
Anyway it looks like a sweet deal. I checked the engine out. It did appear to have a valve cover gasket leak. They're asking $5900 and I want it. I don't care. I already put a couple hundred on it to hold it and I'm trading the L in for it. It's as good as mine.
Yeah, thanks Matt! You're the man. This is the second legacy you've pointed me to not to mention the countless other things you've done. It's much appreciated, thanks again.

holy bejesus. There's no way I'd pay $6000 for a fucking turbo legacy. My car was as good as mint with the exception of the front bumper and 1 door(both of which could have been fixed for $1000), and I was wary of paying $3200 for it....

How many miles was on that car Laurel? How many owners did it have? This car was never abused and is in nearly mint condition. The blue book value is $4800.00 and I've decided I won't pay more that book. If you saw the car you would see what I mean. It looks like nobody ever drove it.
For a mint turbo? Yeah, it sounds expensive, but try to find a better (other) car for that kind of money. Mint turbos are pretty rare. Jeez, it's a positve bargain considering what GT8 wanted for his

Mileage may mean something to NADA and KBB values, but you and I both know that mileage means very little to one of these cars. My car had 2 owners, and all service records at the dealership that I worked at.
Is it really worth it to spend $5000 on a legacy that you'll be driving and effectively "sullying" just by using it?

Please elaborate on this a little more. I'm interested in hearing your opinion.

I agree with that otherwise I wouldn't even consider it. I am a little on the fence about it but when I looked at the car I was just in awe. Seriously, it's the quietest Subaru engine I've ever heard. The valve don't tap, there's no groaning or ticking of any kind.
you say that the car looks as though nobody has ever driven it, or sat in the interior. If you were to perhaps spill a cup of coffee, or just wear the driver's seat, you'd be "damaging" the car.
With a car with that few miles, it's generally tough to accept putting 20,000 miles a year on it.
And it's a little different than having a newer car and doing that, because of the "collector" aspect of it

I would place the value of the car at exactly what it's worth to you, scott. If you're willing to spend 6000$ for it, it's certainly worth 6k. Drink coffee and drive in it as much as you want, it's your car.
I bought my 90 with 72k in '02 and it's given me a lot of problems.

I agree with scott, but I don't know. I'd have trouble having fun(going crazy) in a car that I was worried about damaging, and with a car in that pristine of shape, I'd be worried constantly.
I guess that's just me though. I used to beat the shit out of my 91, and I've never had that much fun in a car, but then I got the 92, and actually cared about it. I suppose I've found my happy median, and everyone also needs to find their own.

Lame. Others opinions should not choose your path. Especially when it's only a couple people that are saying negative things about it. If you like the car then buy it. Who cares what others think.
