wipers acting up

Post by tonflo »

When I pull the wiper lever toward me to get just 1 pass, it sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. When it doesn't I can see the wipers move about 1/2 inch & stop. all other settings of wipers work fine. Does this sound like a switch thing or a motor thing? I can hear a relay click when set on intermittent, but have no idea where it's hiding. Haven't had a chance to check with test light yet. Any one have similar problem & solution?

well I see no repies to your question so I'll add to it,Ok searchrd for but didn't see this one, 90 legacy wipers now only work on high, no int, no low, no spray and wipe. Also if I turn them off in midstroke they stop wearever they be. Thinking switch replacement time, but just wondering if is simpler than that. Thank goodness for high, any ideas anybody?.............G

sometimes if you give it a quick little flip it does that. Have you tried holding it a little longer in the back position? My GL wagon did that anyway, I'll check the legacy next time I drive it.
