Anyone ever watch COPS?

Post by Kelly »

Lately, Ive become somewhat addicted to watching it. Im not quite sure why. Sometimes I can really get into watching them chase down people. I get all excited, kinda like how people get all excited about football, or boxing.

Then sometimes I really respect some of the cops who dont just instantly beat the shiz out of people. Id have a hard time with that, if I was a cop Id be breakin jaws n stuff.

The law part of it doesnt really intrest me much as far as the show is concerned. I think that as far as a cop is concerned everyone is doing something illegal. Old ladies, children, preists, they've probably seen it all.

Its started making me somewhat pariniod for a bit. For those who drove with me to Medford, youd understand what Im saying. (and why did we drive all the way down there again?)

Anyway, anyone else come home from work, crack open a cold one, fire up the laptop, turn on COPS and call it a good time?

I get depressed watching all the shitbags so I don't watch it all that much. Still I enjoy it when I do but I'd rather watch Reno 911.

As far as parinoid, I have my Glock 19 most of the time.

You drove down for the Cali guys that mostly didn't make it.

a town 2 towns over from where I went to school is regularly on COPS. You'd think it was in the south if you ever watched it though.

The old (and possibly current) host of cops is Oregons own Multnomah County old sherrif! And LT Jenson was a much respected/now fired cop on the Portland Police Force.

And then the producer, Malowocich??????? drowned by falling off the cliffs on the Oregon coast.

i.e Oregon Owns Cops!!!!!!

I hate the show COPS, and shows like it. To me its one big propaganda show and i can't stand it. Not as bad as the jon walsh shows or w/e his name is. The guy that does america's most wanted and narrates a few other tv shows like it.

I hate that show. Its always on when I'm, err, "relaxing" with friends, and some cops come and bust down a door that looks just like mine, and bust some people that look just like us (maybe a little bit uglier)

I find myself reflexively running into the bathroom to flush junk that I don't even have...

It's all entertainment until they bust into YOUR house...

Seriously, that show pisses me off sometimes, seeing some cops on their power trips but mildly holding back because they know a camera is rolling. You don't see what happens when the camera's not there...

Edit: Reno 911, however, is some amusing shiott :)

But the South Park version of "Cops" was the best. Cartman had authoritah.
