Windows won't go all the way down after speaker install

Post by Splinter »

I just installed a pair of Memphis speakers in the doors, and now the windows wont roll all the way down, Im guessing they're hitting the back of the speakers.

I suppose I'll have to get spacers for them, but do you think it could damage anything having it set up the way it is til then?

Get spacers......you could damage the speaker.....or possibly damage the motors....but not too likely.

Yea I called the guy at the stereo store today, he apologised for not asking me if I would need them when I bought the speakers :P

I'll pick them up tomorrow

You can use 1" spacers if you trim the door card a little bit. The trimming won't show when you have the speaker cover on.
