Hi, I'm looking to replace a front wheel bearing in a 1990 legacy. I do have access to a hydraulic press, but I have never used one before. Do I need a special fitting to press the bearings out, and the new ones in?
Alternatively, is there a source for rebuilt steering knuckles with bearings installed?
Thanks in advance,
Kevin

i just did this to my 90 fwd sedan. got a whole spindle assembly from the salvage yard for 45 dollars. it was avery easy swap. just make sure you check the bearing first. give it a spin and a tug if it grinds or moves at all just say no. this saved me alot of time and money. a new bearing and seals from subaru will run at least 80 dollars and about 65 from carquest.
good luck,
greg
