Good vibes at work are great

Post by Tleg93 »

It's a good feeling when you're told you're good at what you do, even if you'd like to be doing something else. I'm sure it's happened to all of us.

I was told today by my boss that I'm doing exceptionally well and that he wants me to move into engineering when it opens up  . He said I was a quick study and I guess it's true. I can nail things now in 5 minutes that would have take me an hour a month ago. My job was all stuggle for a while and then, bam, it just became clear one day. This stuff just came easy for me.

This made me wonder how well a person can succeed at things you enjoy doing just because you enjoy it, even if they don't come easy. Also, why are people sometimes good at things they don't neccesarily love. Well anyway, it felt good to hear that from my boss. I was starting to think I was losing it there for a little while. The good vibes were inspiring. Let me ask a question.

Have you ever had something that was difficult to you become your favorite thing to do? Also, has anyone found out they were really good at something they didn't care for.

Customer Service. I'm awesome at it, but I dread going to work every day.

This relating to my thread about going back to parts... I've gotten nothing but people welcoming me back and telling me how much they missed me being in parts. At least two of the older guys that have been there for years have said I alone am better than 3 of the other guys put together.

Yeah that does feel good... I just hope my paychecks start to reflect those comments soon :???:

Being asked back to work is a great feeling.
Apparently I'm a good manager, but I don't really enjoy it.
