Fuel Pump Fuse Location 96Outback

Post by joser »

According to Haynes manual, I should check the fuse if my fuel pump is not working. Its states that is fuse is blown, replace. It blows again to check the relay. Now I have found the relay, pump, sending unit etc. But not fuse.
I would like to know if the fuse exist or if the car only has a relay. It is not anywhere near the main fuse box under the dash. It is also not in the fuse box under the hood.
Pls help.
Oh I looked at at thread from Canadian guy (I think pg 6 or 7) where he asked but no answer was given to location of fuse. Your diag. you linked to him only shows the relay which is the same diag I have on my Haynes manual.
thanks again

The haynes manual is wrong......there is no fuel pump fuse....only the relay.

Thanks for the quick rspns. Now I can go back and try to stick my big fat hands in the small cavity they decided to place the relay. This is by far the best forum site I have been too also. Very detailed, and informative. Many thanks again.
