A while ago, I posted that I saw an EJ-22T being modified by JC. I was
unable to get pictures then, and I won't be able to until next weekend (so
long as the event doesn't get postponed due to snow) but this is what they
have done:
2 extra 550 cc (maybe 500) injectors on IC with a fuel controller
1 air-water I/C (720 ft^3 ?) kit
1 IHI ball bearing turbo (same as STi)
misc stuff I forgot
The above setup produced a no lag quick spool system.
The estimated power output is close to 400PS. I will be getting pictures
and a price quote for this ASAP as well as times since it'll be drag raced.

Sounds interesting, keep us informed.
I'd also be interested in any high-quality JC Sports intake, as the
current model seems to be universally thought of as borderline junk.
If they can get a good kit out i'd probably buy it. If it were in-
fender i'd be even moreso.

The JC Sports modified EJ-22T ran last night at Bandimere Raceway
test and tune night. They only got two runs in and on the low boost
setting got a 14.8 sec. quarter mile. I would think it would be very
close to the 13s at sea level.

Impressive. May I ask what the "low" boost setting is?

I had a bit of a hard time also but this thing is quick. Only the
person driving knows what the settings were but it only made one good
run and if it were me I would have used the lower setting on the
first
try. On the second the rear diff went south pretty well into the run
but it still was a 14.9. About 5 years ago they ran a Impreza coupe
with a 2.2 turbo and front mount IC and probably some other things
and
did a 13.8. That I know as I was in the other lane. We will know next
Sat at the IDRC import drags here.
