Legacy factory front skid plate?

Hi,has anyone trys the Factory front skid plate to the 1st gen.
Legacy turbo?
I asked the dealer in Toronto and the parts staff told me it may not
fits to my car, but he can't confirm it, does anyone who has the 1st
gen. Legacy and puts it on and fits it no problem?
If its no problem , then I will order one in Toronto before snow
fall, since it just cost about $170 cad and I think its less then I
order from US and pay the costy shipping!!
