About to install a WRX wagon Suspension

Post by PhyrraM »

I've got one thing I'm hoping can get answered. I've read the stickies and think I've got it figured out, but want a touch of re-assuance.

This is what I've got for the rear. Notice I've have 2 styles of upper spring perches. One I painted grey for clarity.

Image
The grey one is supposed to be a stock '92-'94 Legacy upper perch. The black one is a '02-'03 WRX upper perch. The upper strut mount is a proper '92-'94 Legacy mount.

You can see the height difference between these 2 perches. It seems to me that I need the black WRX one to maintain a proper ride hieght, but the stickies seem to say, at various times, that both/either/neither is the correct one.

Which is the correct one? I know a few have done this swap.

Thanks

huh. I thought the 02-03 top was all one piece and didn't come apart. You might have to just try it out to see which has the right ride height.
