Maybe it's normal, but from the position with the wheel off it looked welded and bent; doesn't seem normal.

oh... I didn't notice that, heh. when I was looking at it before it looked to have a very distinct 45 degree bend in it and looked to have been sloppily welded...

makes much more sense now.
