Apparently it is the exact same item as the Subaru Select Monitor...
designed in the USA, marketed by Hitachi via Subaru in Japan.

It also supports domestic USA vehicles and imports, and I am guessing that
the price could be attractive ex USA... anyone know how much it costs? ...or
for that matter... of any other product that is better?
