New reason found for rough idle

Post by Jutboy »

I had a rough idle which I couldn't get rid of (did pretty much everything listed here)

When my alternator died and I got a new one it went away. I held off for a little while to make sure thats what did it. Two days ago the rough return and I though, good thing I didn't I didn't recommend testing/changing everyones alt......well turns out my "new" pos alt died on me yesterday, got a new/better one and its running great.

So if you have a "hopeless" rough idle grab your multimeter and test your idling voltage output with a load. Mines at ~14.5
