2001 Legacy Seats fit?

I believe the new legacy seats are wider, but I ran across an awesome deal and want to get rid of the crappy factory seats. Has anybody tried fitting the legacy seats and are able to get seatbelts to work?

I know the STi seats line up, but also are a bit wider than the 1st Gen. They squeeze the center console a bit.

I'm like a month late, but I have '04 Legacy seats in my SS.
The fronts fit fine, the rear bottom needs to be massaged in, but is the same width as the SS seat.
