Your stock ECU will plug in and be able to run the engine, but not very well and the general concensus seems to be to run the Ej22t ECU. Some have run the factory non-turbo ECU with piggybacks, but I can't comment on thier success.

The Ej22t ecu can be plugged into the cars harness provided you do 3 things.

1. Swap the cam and crank position sensor pins at the ecu connector. This is detailed in a few other posts. Basically, grab the pin-out diagrams for both from here on LC and make your harness match the Ej22t one.

2. Add in the boost sensor and boost control wiring. Once again, make your harness match a factory Ej22t.

3. Use your factory non-turbo intake manifold harness on the Ej22t engine. This saves a ton of work re-pinning those connectors to match each other electrically.

You can just swap the positive pins for the crank & cam sensors.
