*help* Auto UP/Down window switch kills engine *much danger*

Post by ripplesouth »

I don't know how these two are related but when I am using the auto up/down window switch for the driver's window, when the window switch is ready to click out after completing a cycle, it kills the engine, or at least creates a large volume of engine hesitation.
The problem is especially more pronounced if I hold down the switch when the window is already fully closed.

What could be the cause? Where do I start looking?

Hm. When the window has reached its limit but the auto-up/down switch hasn't clicked off yet, there is a lot of current being drawn by the motor.

Maybe it's an alternator issue.
